Meridian Yoga

Throughout the summer we will journey through the “five element theory,” Wood – Fire – Earth – Metal – Water to understand how the changing seasons in our environment relate to the changing seasons within our bodies.

·      Find the energy source in the hara and draw it out into the limbs of the body through the meridian lines.

·      Learn the direction of the energy flow.

·      Find out what organs are predominating during each season and the emotional root each organ holds.

·      In your asana, take flight by finding the two opposing forces of yin and yang to balance and give strength to your pose.

When we can understand and feel connected to the cycles of the seasons, we feel connected to that “one universal source.”
